Honor has officially confirmed the launch date for its upcoming Honor 500 series, and it’s sooner than expected. The two-device lineup a standard Honor 500 and a 500 Pro will debut in China on November 24, 2025, with sub-flagship specs and a design that heavily echoes the iPhone Air from behind.
Honor 500 Pro specs leak reveals premium camera setup
According to a reliable leak from Digital Chat Station, the Honor 500 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the standard model gets the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Both are upper-tier processors, but the Pro clearly edges ahead in performance and camera capabilities.
The Honor 500 Pro will reportedly feature:
- A 200 MP main camera
- A 12 MP ultrawide
- A 50 MP 3x telephoto lens
Meanwhile, the standard Honor 500 keeps the 200 MP and 12 MP setup but drops the telephoto, sticking to a dual-camera system on the back.

The leak also outlines key shared specs:
- 6.55-inch display
- 120 Hz refresh rate
- 3,840 Hz PWM dimming
- 8,000 mAh battery
- 80W wired fast charging
The Honor 500 Pro gains an extra perk with 50W wireless charging, while both phones include stereo speakers, IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings, and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
A big battery and a bold iPhone-inspired design
The standout spec here is the massive 8,000 mAh battery confirmed by Honor product manager Tang Daren. If accurate, that would make the Honor 500 series one of the largest-battery mainstream smartphones on the market. Paired with fast charging both wired and wireless the phones are clearly built for endurance.
Honor has also shown off the rear design, which carries strong visual cues from Apple’s iPhone Air, suggesting the company is doubling down on premium aesthetics for a mid-high tier market.
Pricing still unknown, but past models offer clues
While official pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, previous-gen models provide a rough estimate:
- Honor 400 launched at around $347 (CNY)
- Honor 400 Pro started at about $472 (CNY)
With significant hardware upgrades and new features, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a slight price bump especially for the Pro model.
More details are expected to surface as we move closer to the November 24 launch, but with this spec sheet already out in the open, Honor looks ready to challenge the mid-premium market once again.
